Duties:
  • The Social Worker works with the psychiatrist and interdisciplinary team in developing and managing treatment plans.
  • Serves as liaison in relation to patient care and needs, between the hospital, community, and insurers to facilitate access
  • to clinical treatment for individuals. Provides social services to both adult and child/adolescent patients. Services include,
  • but are not limited to bio-psychosocial assessments, discharge planning, individual and family education and group
  • therapy Social Workers provides individual, conjoint, group and family psychotherapy; in addition to crisis intervention
  • services, as needed. Ensures that the quality of care is safe, effective, patient centered timely, efficient and equitable.
  • Social workers also serve on designated committees and as qualified, may serve as field instructors for social work interns.
Education:
Graduation from an accredited school of social work with a Masters Degree.

Certifications & Licenses:
  • BLS - AHA
  • CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED
  • Current Licensed Master Social Work
  • Social Worker License
Skills:
  • Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective social work care plans. Ability to
  • perform a wide variety of professional social work services. Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and
  • hospital personnel.
