To assist with administration of the UMWA 1985 Construction Workers Pension Plan and the 1978 Retired Construction Workers Benefit Trust.

Required:

  1. High School graduate or equivalent work experience.
  2. Strong organization skills, verbal and written communications.
  3. Excellent phone skills.
  4. Ability to multi-task, prioritize work to meet deadlines.
  5. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  6. Data entry skills.
  7. Work in an office setting.
Desired:
  1. Some college.
  2. Health care industry experience--especially pension.
  3. Ability to become a self-starter and grow in responsibilities.

Responsibilities:
  • Handles outgoing mailings to include tax forms, direct deposit forms, hourly work history reports, pension applications.
  • Maintains data entry, to include pension benefit screens, repository and indexing all documents.
  • Processes and indexes all incoming mail.
  • Answering calls from members, union offices, Employers and assisting with questions, concerns and complaints from beneficiaries providing answers in a prompt and courteous manner.
  • Monitors weekly reports, which include outside vendor reports.
  • Reviews annual enrollment surveys, record necessary changes, update participant information.
  • Assists with providing requested information for Plan actuaries and auditors.
  • Assists with gathering Plan employees work history in preparation for annual employer payroll audits.
  • Assist in ordering supplies.
  • Must become fluent with Plan Documents that govern the Pension Plan.
