We are so glad you are interested in joining Sutter HealthOrganization:NCH-Novato Community HospitalPosition Overview:The Clinical Dietitian interprets the discipline of food and nutrition into the provision of a service designed to improve or maintain the nutritional/health status of both inpatients and outpatients.Job Description:EDUCATIONEquivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.Bachelor's: B.S. degree from an accredited college or university in Nutrition and Dietetics or related field. or equivalent education/experienceOR Master's: Master's Degree program meeting the American Dietetic Association's requirements for Dietitian Registration required or completion of a Dietetic internship or equivalent education/experienceOther: Completion of a didactic and clinical program in dietetics approved or accredited by the American Dietetics Association.Other: Completion of the dietetic registration exam within 6 mos of hireOther: Maintenance of continued education: meets requirements of Commission on Dietetic Registration and supports professional development in area assigned (disease/conditions/ages of patients).OR Master's: MS Nutrition or MPH or equivalent education/experienceCERTIFICATION & LICENSURERD-Registered Dietitian Upon HireCNSD-Certified Nutrition Support Dietitian preferredCDE-Certified Diabetes Educator preferredPREFERRED EXPERIENCE AS TYPICALLY ACQUIRED IN:Hospital work experience preferred.SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGEKnowledge of performance improvement and regulatory agency requirements preferred.Comprehensive knowledge of Clinical Nutrition Services, Medical Nutrition Therapies, Food Production Standards, and a working knowledge of Joint Commission and Health and Safety Codes are preferred.Well-developed interpersonal skills in order to interact effectively with patients, caregivers, physicians, and staff.Organizational skills and ability to accomplish work without direct daily supervision.Written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work productively with people who have both similar and different backgroundsJob Shift:DaysSchedule:Per Diem/CasualShift Hours:8Days of the Week:VariableWeekend Requirements:As NeededBenefits:NoUnions:YesPosition Status:Non-ExemptWeekly Hours:0Employee Status:Per Diem/CasualSutter Health is an equal opportunity employer EOE/M/F/Disability/Veterans.Pay Range is $45.92 to $61.68 / hourThe salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location.
