Team or Function Overview We are looking for a Manufacturing Project Engineer who will be responsible for maintaining excellence in developing, executing and controlling assigned projects to achieve plant and team goals. Through expert application of engineering techniques and principles, the incumbent will conduct analyses and investigations pertaining to construction of new facility equipment and enhancements for existing facility equipment to optimize productive capability of the plant. We expect the Manufacturing Project Engineer to make sound recommendations, considering such factors as cost, maintainability, facility of production and availability of materials and equipment with emphasis on safety and optimum performance. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, highly adaptive and capable of managing multiple engineering capital projects and improvement assignments. Flexible schedule that can allow up to 1 day/week working from home. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Proactively identify engineering problems or opportunities and apply technical expertise to develop and present feasible solutions. Actively participate in daily plant operations meetings and address issues that arise in meetings. Develop detailed justifications for capital expenditures and communicate them both verbally and in writing at multiple levels within the organization. Take ownership for

engineering/efficiency

projects from conception to completion with little supervision, applying all areas of engineering expertise to obtain workable solutions. Maintain thorough engineering standards for project execution, design, equipment standards, safety, and cost control. Update and provide SOP, JSA, and PM, Spare Parts Lists, and Project Turnover documents for all major projects. Ensure all applicable OSHA requirements are met. Track the current costs of all projects and notify superiors of changes in project costs. Assembles cost estimates at the start of projects and every time there is a change that impacts the overall project cost. Manage project budgets and be accountable for delivering projects on time and on budget +/- 10%. Provide training to employees in the operation of new equipment or design changes and the processes associated with the change. Partner with the maintenance and production teams to identify operational or maintenance problems. Once the problem is recognized, conduct the engineering analysis and follow through with major and minor project recommendations. Coordinate with the contractor and Company representatives to seamlessly complete engineering projects as efficiently as possible without causing production delays. Perform other duties that may include leading project teams in completion of specific projects; set timelines, assign work, communicate with team members, lead the project to a timely high quality solution. Technical knowledge required, but not limited to: Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite & Google Office Suite. Intermediate proficiency in AutoCAD Inventor Suite. Excellent ability to apply engineering fundamentals to all projects.

Intermediate ability to read, draft, and interpret specifications, drawings, graphs, and reports. Ability to translate technical data into a format/language suitable for all plant personnel. Ability to interpret the content and terms of vendor proposals. Ability to manage outside contractors to safely and efficiently implement projects.

Thorough knowledge of mechanical theories and principles.

Strong mechanical aptitude knowledge base (i.e. basic hand tools, hydraulic and pneumatic systems).

Strong working knowledge of project management processes and systems.

Advanced proficiency in MS Project with project financial tracking systems utilizing public or proprietary software. Partner with the maintenance planner to ensure projects are properly scheduled and the development of good preventative maintenance measures for project.

Under This Roof we Require: BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. 3+ years of demonstrated related experience in a manufacturing environment Demonstrated knowledge of engineering fundamentals Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD Under This Roof We Also Value: Intermediate skills in process hazard analysis and process safety management. Experience with a continuous web handling operation. General level knowledge of Scrumban, an agile project development methodology that is a hybrid of Scrum and Kanban.
