Job Description: Locum Nurse Practitioner - General Medicine Join a dedicated team that serves our nation's Veterans We are seeking General Medicine Providers to conduct Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments in beautiful Houston, California. This opportunity allows you to make a significant impact in the lives of those who have served our country. The position offers flexibility with options for per diem at a facility within a 50-mile radius or the ability to work from your own office if located in the designated areas. Your expertise in general medicine will be essential in providing comprehensive evaluations in a supportive environment. Job Responsibilities: Conducting interview-based Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments. Performing basic physical assessments such as range of motion and muscle strength tests. Submitting detailed reports and addendums following each examination. Collaborating with a team to ensure high-quality care is provided to veterans. Participating in ongoing training and certification processes. Qualifications: Proficient in METs testing and evaluating respiratory and cardiovascular conditions. Possess a strong background in family medicine, internal medicine, or general medicine. Excellent interview and assessment skills. Willingness to complete DMA training for certification. License and Certification Requirements: Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in California. Certification from the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). Own a laptop (Windows-based) for necessary documentation.
