Requirements:
- Bachelors, Masters or Doctoral Degree in Speech Pathology in an accredited Speech/Language Pathology program.
- Current State of Florida License as a Speech Pathologist required.
- Current CPR Certification, BLS
- Certificate of clinical competence in speech Pathology awarded by the American Speech, Language, and Hearing Association preferred.
Performs activities of the Speech Pathology and Audiology Department related to screening, evaluation, diagnosis, development of plan of care, and treatment for patients (neonate, infant, child, adolescent, adult, and geriatrics) with communication and swallowing disorders including inpatients and outpatients under minimal supervision of the Therapy Director and according to established policies and procedures.
- Outpatient, Acute and Rehabilitation Units
- Up to three to six months on-the-job experience necessary in order to gain full knowledge of speech/language techniques and objectives in order to be able to independently evaluate patients and to develop and administer treatment programs taking into account the appropriate tests and treatments for the unique needs of neonates, infants, children, adolescents, adults and geriatric patients.
