Security Guard The Security Guard will monitor traffic flow through security gate onto the premises. Check employees, contractors, and guests in and out as they enter/exit the facility. Responsible for supervising, training, and directing duties of contract guards daily. Responsibilities: Guard entrance gate of industrial plant and grounds, warehouse, or other property to control traffic to and from buildings and grounds. Open gates to allow entrance or exit of employees, truckers, and authorized visitors. Responsible for verifying inbound and outbound documentation is correct and filing of paperwork. Guide visitors and truckers to various parts of grounds or buildings. Check credentials or approved roster before admitting anyone. Inspect outgoing traffic to prevent unauthorized removal of company property or products. Responsible for supervising, training, and directing duties of contract guards daily. Creation and implementation of new procedures, directed by management. Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation. Perform all other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Skills and Abilities: Clerical ability to document information. Knowledge of basic communication devices, such as telephone and radio. Demonstrated Competencies: Ability to follow direction and make sound decisions when necessary. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees, as necessary. Must have regular and punctual attendance. Physical Requirements: Ability to maintain alertness while sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Experience: Minimum of 2 years of prior security experience is preferred. Education: High School diploma or equivalent, or verifiable ability to perform essential job functions.
