This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional seeking to take the next step in their career, or that recent graduate seeking to get their foot in the door of an accounting department within a well-known, stable organization Key duties will include financial reporting, profitability analysis, and general ledger accounting, resolving discrepancies, participation in audits

MUST HAVE experience in Real Estate accounting - Ideally with Yardi, QuickBooks, MRI

Schedule: Mon-Fri 8am to 5pm

Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Collect, analyze, and summarize account information to prepare monthly financial statements, records, and reports for multiple properties
  • Ensure accurate recording of fixed asset transactions in the fixed asset system
  • Reconcile mortgage and escrow balances.
  • Post monthly journal entries to the general ledger.
  • Reconcile monthly bank statements.
  • Assist in preparing quarter-end and year-end packages for CPA firms.
  • Support month-end closeout procedures.
  • Assist in documenting purchases and sales of real estate transactions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
  • 2-4 years of applicable experience in the real estate industry
  • CPA certification preferred
  • Excellent organizational and communication abilities, with a keen eye for detail
  • Proficiency in managing tasks efficiently in a dynamic work setting
  • Capacity to handle multiple priorities and navigate complex situations
  • Effective time management skills, especially during peak reporting periods
  • Previous experience with a public accounting firm advantageous
  • Familiarity with YARDI and MRI software considered a bonus
