Driving DOT regulated 26' Box truck
Perform safety checks of brakes, steering column, lights and mirrors prior to each leg of journey to ensure road readiness
Follow and maintain loading protocols, using chains and binders to secure cargo and re-checking their stability throughout trips
Inspect trailers before and after loading, paying attention to status of air lines and jack positions and adjusting them as necessary
Visit weigh stations before and after packing to ensure that loads meet state safety regulations, making alterations to loads when required by law
Contribute to company data by honestly recording times of delivery and hours worked
Assist in unloading cargo when delivery sites are understaffed, maintaining product quality throughout conveyance
Adhere to traffic safety regulations at all times, exercise caution in treacherous circumstances and report unsafe vehicle or road conditions to supervisors and highway authorities
Assist shipping and receiving loading and unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, matching purchase orders to sales orders and distributing to sales associates for processing.
Move materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas.
Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, and color or product code.
File requisitions, work orders or requests for materials, tools or other stock items and distribute items to shipping or to designated route driver storage area.
Ensure warehouse is accessible and safe for salespeople and customer traffic.
Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves or relocate orders to a holding area or shipping department.
Mark materials with identifying information using appropriate method.
Open bales, crates and other containers.
Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed via appropriate computer program.
Assist in counting of physical inventory.
Weigh and count items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards.
May be assigned facilities maintenance duties as needed.
Complete requisition forms to order supplies from other departments.
Prepare parcels for mailing.
Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness.
Wear the proper safety equipment.
***Required Knowledge & Skills:***
Required two years of experience working as a driver with no legal or safety incidents on record
Required DOT Medical Card
Enthusiasm for our products and desire to deliver them safely and on time
Possesses physical strength necessary to lift heavy boxes and crates and move them around the warehouse.
Is capable of maintaining the stamina needed for long hours of physical labor.
Must have strong work ethic; Professional attitude; Reliable
Excellent communication skills to all levels of internal and external customers
Must be well organized and a self-starter
Ability to make decisions and be independent
Attention to detail as well as accuracy
Quick learner great at building relationships
Possess strong organizational and time management skills

Basic Qualification & Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Minimum 2 year in Driver Role
Preferred Qualifications & Requirements:
Ability to operate forklift, pallet jack and other warehouse equipment
Adequate knowledge of warehouse data system
