Eaton's ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Material Handler- Shipping. This role is based at our Sherman, TX facility on the 1st shift, and will support the Shipping/Receiving department. The regularly scheduled hours are Monday through Friday from 6:00 am until 2:30 pm. The rate for this position is $21.20 per hour. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based on candidate skills, experience, qualifications, and market and business considerations.

What you'll do:
Collecting order notes to fulfill deliveries
Picking out ordered items from storage shelves using barcodes, serial numbers, etc.
Securely shrink-wrapping items before placing them in boxes or on pallets
Operating handling equipment according to industrial safety regulations
Loading delivery vehicles
Updating stock inventory after each item is retrieved
Managing stock control, including item replenishment and storage
You will receive training on use of power truck and other powered material handling equipment (ex. walking crane or hoist).
You will perform 5S & Continuous Improvement activities.
Performing general warehouse duties as necessary

Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

At least six (6) months of forklift experience.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within a fifty-mile radius of the Sherman, TX facility will be considered

Preferred Qualifications:

Stand-up forklift experience
Strong product knowledge.
Skills:
Ability to lift 50 lbs. occasionally to frequently (33-66%) and up to 75 lbs. occasionally by stooping, reaching, or bending with or without accommodation.
Ability to follow directions, work independently, and close attention to detail
Work as part of a team having responsibility for assembling an entire product or component of a product
Ability to reach, grasp, and manipulate
Ability to work mandatory overtime, including Saturdays and up to 12 hours in a shift, as needed by the business
Ability to stand for the duration of the shift (eight to twelve hours) and perform repetitious tasks
