Job Title: Radiology Interventional Technologist

Shift: Five, 8-hour shifts. Four, 10-hour shift weeks will likely be available at times depending
Guaranteed Hours: 40.00
Experience: Minimum 3 years previous experience in a Trauma Level 1 facility, Cath Lab experience
License: Healthcare Provider certification (BLS)
Certifications: American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) with the advanced registry in Cardiac-Interventional Radiography (CI), Vascular-Interventional Radiography (VI), or Cardiovascular-Interventional Radiography (CV)

Must-Have:

- Explain examination procedures to patients and prepare them for the examination.
- Obtain necessary information about the patient's medical history.
- Prepare prescribed contrast median, medications, and IV solutions.
- Assist Radiologist in performing complex diagnostic invasive procedures.
- Set up sterile equipment, monitors, pressure injectors, and imaging equipment for procedures.
- Monitor patient conditions before, during, and after procedures.
- Perform imaging procedures while ensuring radiation protection principles.
- Resolve image exceptions and ensure high-quality image delivery into PACS.
- Complete all documentation in the medical record and radiology information system.
- Utilize independent judgment in determining imaging techniques, patient positioning, and safety practices.
- Maintain required hours of continued medical education.

Job Description:

- Under the direction of a Radiologist, specialize in performing invasive procedures to aid in evaluating pathological entities as prescribed by a physician.
- Explain examination procedures to patients, prepare them, and obtain medical history information.
- Prepare necessary supplies and assist Radiologist in performing diagnostic invasive procedures.
- Set up equipment, physiological monitors, and imaging tools required for procedures.
- Monitor patient conditions and ensure radiation protection principles are followed during imaging procedures.
- Resolve image exceptions, complete documentation, and maintain required certifications.
- Utilize independent judgment in determining appropriate imaging techniques and safety practices.
