Job Description:

We are currently seeking a dedicated, reliable warehouse associate with experience in shipping and receiving to join our dynamic team. As a crucial part of our operation, youll ensure the efficient flow of goods in and out of our facility. Key Responsibilities:

  • Order Fulfillment: Use a computerized order fulfillment system to review sales orders, complete picking and packing lists, and create shipping labels.
  • Picking and Packing: Locate items within the warehouse, which may include heavy or bulky items, and accurately pack them for shipment, ensuring they are properly secured and labeled.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee inventory by conducting routine cycle counts, collaborating with the accounting department to reconcile discrepancies, and managing the replenishment of stock to meet customer demands effectively.
  • Incoming Shipments: Receive new inventory, count items to verify accuracy, label items with appropriate barcodes and SKUs, and record item receipts in online inventory management system.
  • Outgoing Shipments: Prepare items for shipment by selecting appropriate packaging materials and techniques to ensure safety and prevent damage during transit. Proficiency in stacking and palletizing is required for secure handling. Additionally, coordinate and manage shipments for LTL freight trucks efficiently.
  • Quality Control: Inspect products for damage or defects upon receiving and before packing and shipping to maintain our commitment to delivering top quality tools and equipment.
  • Organization and General Cleaning: Maintain a clean, organized warehouse space by ensuring all items are stored efficiently, safely, and by performing general cleaning tasks to uphold a tidy workspace.
  • Communication: Collaborate with other team members and communicate any discrepancies or issues related to orders or inventory.
  • Safety: Adhere to safety guidelines, protocols, and OSHA practices to ensure a safe working environment.

Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy and/or bulky items (up to 80 pounds or more) and maintain physical stamina as this role necessitates standing and walking extensively throughout the day.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment and inventory management.
  • Basic computer skills, including the ability to use online order fulfillment and inventory management systems.
  • Quick learner with flexibility to adapt to new processes and systems aimed at improving warehouse operations.
  • Willingness to follow safety guidelines and protocols.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Trustworthy and reliable, demonstrating integrity and dependability in handling inventory and fulfilling orders.
  • Team player with a positive attitude and a willingness to collaborate.
  • Self-starter with a proactive approach to tasks and responsibilities.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently.

Preferred Qualifications and Abilities:

  • Previous experience in a warehouse or similar role.
  • Familiarity with QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise or similar inventory management software.
  • Experience operating a forklift (assistance will be provided in obtaining a forklift license if not already possessed).
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
