- Responsible for fostering an environment of support and motivation for team members.
- Maintains a high level of confidentiality of all privileged information in accordance with established procedures with company policy and state regulations.
- Responsible for all administrative duties such as answering phones, greeting team members, creating and maintaining reports, HRIS data entry, etc.
- Assists with recruitment and onboarding processes, to include scheduling candidates for licensing and orientation, preparing orientation packets, setting up training space, etc.
- Performs customer service functions by answering team member requests and questions and escalates requests to position supervisor as appropriate.
- Responsible for maintaining an appropriate level of supply inventory for the Human Resources offices, as well as ordering and receiving all supplies for the department.
- Responsible for distributing uniforms and accurately tracking uniform inventory.
- Resolves problems that are within the position's scope of authority and recommends courses of action to resolve problems that are beyond the scope of authority to the position's supervisor.
- Assists with the planning and execution of team member engagement initiatives, including anniversary, birthday, and promotional announcements.
- Infrequently may have up to 10% travel, on an as-needed basis, to other properties and facilities.
- Resolves problems that are within the position's scope of authority and recommends courses of action to resolve problems that are beyond the scope of authority to the position's supervisor.
- Keeps position supervisor informed of relevant activities.
- Other duties as assigned.
Regulatory and Compliance Responsibilities: In addition to the other duties described herein, each team member has the following responsibilities related to compliance with laws and regulations.
- Attend required training sessions offered by the Company.
- Obtain and retain required license(s).
- Perform the duties described in compliance with local laws and regulations.
- Take the necessary steps to ensure minors are not allowed to gamble or loiter in gambling areas, drink alcoholic beverages, or purchase tobacco.
- Have knowledge of the ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures relating to the team member's department.
- Have knowledge of the Property's programs to address problem gaming.
- Report any acts of wrongdoing of which the team member may have knowledge.
Position Qualifications: High School diploma or GED certificate, plus three (3) years in related fieldOther combinations of education and experience may be considered. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, or equivalent, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Must be able to formulate and communicate ideas. Must have a working understanding of human resources practices and procedures. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail are required. Must be able to function well in a high-paced environment.
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations: Virginia Racing Commission License
Valid Driver's License with minimum of three years' experience
