Schedule This position requires rotating shift schedules including days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, on-call, and charge duties as per unit needs. Job Description The Level 1 RN Psych will conduct intake assessments through interviews with patients and relatives to gather case history. The nurse will plan and provide nursing care, make nursing diagnoses of the medical and emotional status of patients, and recommend treatment options. Collaborative consultation with psychiatrists and other behavioral health staff will be essential in designing appropriate treatment plans for clients. The RN will administer psychotropic drugs and other medications, documenting reactions and patient information on medical charts while following physician orders and maintaining patient confidentiality. Responsibilities Conduct intake assessments with patients and their families. Plan and provide nursing care tailored to individual patient needs. Consult with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement treatment plans. Administer medications and monitor patient reactions. Document all patient interactions accurately and timely. Assist in creating a safe and secure environment for patients and staff. Engage with patients to assist their understanding of emotional disturbances and treatment acceptance. Perform administrative tasks including filing, answering phones, and completing progress notes. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Current RN License in New York (NY License ONLY) Minimum of 2 years of experience in a relevant nursing capacity BLS Certification (American Heart Association ONLY) CPI Certification (Blue Card) Why ARMStaffing?
