Receptionist

Receptionist Responsibilities:
- Operates the multi-lined phones to answer incoming calls, directing them to the appropriate person or department and properly records messages as required.
- Serves as Emergency Response Team in the event of a fire or disaster. Calls 911 to give specific location and nature of the event, handles incoming calls, and follows direction of Response Team.
- Shows compassion, patience, and empathy towards residents and their needs. Has extensive interactions with residents and staff.
- Assists residents with resident funds, as requested.
- Communicates any emergencies clearly and timely with maintenance staff.
- Is familiar with the copy machine/ fax/ scanner.
- Keeps a record of residents going away, as well as residents in the hospital or health care center.
- Understands and practices HIPAA.
- Communicates effectively
- Maintains regular attendance and professional appearance and attitude at all times
Receptionist Requirements:
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
•Competency in Microsoft applications including Outlook, Word and Excel.
•Prior experience as a receptionist or in related field is preferred.
•Must be available WEEKENDS
