Toyota of Santa Barbara is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Automotive Controller to join our team in Goleta, California. As the Automotive Controller, you will oversee all financial and accounting activities of our dealership. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive accounting, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record of success in a management role. This is a full-time, salaried position with a competitive compensation package.

Compensation & Benefits:

This position offers a competitive salary range of $150,000 to $200,000 per year, paid semi-monthly. In addition, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401k plan, paid time off, and opportunities for professional development and advancement.

Responsibilities:

- Oversee and direct all financial and accounting functions of the dealership, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash management
- Develop and maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
- Manage and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance and training as needed
- Prepare monthly financial statements, including profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow statements
- Review and analyze financial data to identify trends and variances and make recommendations for improvement
- Coordinate with department managers to develop and monitor departmental budgets and track expenses
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of all financial activities, such as accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and tax filings
- Participate in the financial planning process and provide financial insight and analysis to assist with decision making
- Develop and maintain relationships with financial institutions, vendors, and other external partners
- Stay current on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to dealership financial management

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in automotive accounting, with at least 3 years in a management role
- Strong understanding of dealership accounting principles and procedures
- Proficient in financial analysis and reporting
- Experience with payroll and HR systems
- Advanced knowledge of accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Thorough knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and best practices related to dealership management
