Fondomonte is looking for highly talented Welder/Fabricator Technician to join our dynamic farming team. This position is primarily responsible for various welding and fabrication activities of structural sheet metal products and other fabrication processes on various materials. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Manufacture and fabricate finished metal productsInstall and repair various equipment and componentsWeld steel components with welding equipment as specified by layouts, engineering drawings, work orders, or verbal instructionsPerform welding & fabrication of heavy equipment parts and assemblies to meet established quality standards, production procedures and efficiency expectationsWork as part of a team coordinating work and assisting in the fabrication or welding of multi-component partsWillingness to cross-train and perform the work of other job tasks in addition to the primary assigned positionInspect equipment to maintain functional equipment if any equipment needs repairs notify supervisor/lead or maintenance departmentSafely operate forklifts, hoists, hand power tools, slings, grinders, cutting torch, and other hand tools related to the job needsHardfacing skid loader buckets and tillage equipmentMending seeders, spreaders, and other machines that can break down in the fieldFollow and enforce strict safety regulations such as wearing heat-resistant gloves, protective masks, and safety shoes.Monitor machinery for appropriate usage and temperature.Weld components in flat, vertical, and overhead positions.Other duties, responsibilities, and qualifications may be required and/or assigned as necessary by department or shift LeadRequirements:Ability to read and interpret blueprints and fabricate from those printsWelding on carbon steel, stainless steel, and other required surfaces and materials; aluminum experience is a plusAbility to proficiently use cutting torch, grinders, and ironworkerFamiliarity with basic tools of measuring and when to use for inspection of partKnowledge of welding principles and techniquesMust be organized and detail-orientedStanding for long periodsBending, lifting and pushing up to 50 pounds is requiredHigh school diploma or equivalent qualification.A valid certificate in welding from an accredited institution is preferred.A minimum of 2 years experience as a welder.Excellent knowledge of welding machinery, electrical equipment, and manual tools.Ability to read and interpret blueprints and designs.Outstanding attention to detailJob Context: Work hours may vary based on business needs, flexibility to work on the weekend is required.
