RAB Lighting is growing rapidly and is currently seeking a Jr Quality Engineer. The ideal candidate will have excellent problem-solving and communication skills, and the ability to lead by example to promote a positive quality culture that is striving for continuous improvement.

Primary Responsibilities
The position of the Jr Quality Engineer requires a results-driven individual who will be responsible for executing quality initiatives for our manufactured products and driving quality system improvements to achieve department objectives.
Ownership to handle all internal and external quality issues related to the quality of manufactured products
Lead the Incoming & Final Inspection Process and lead process audits
Use root cause analysis and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot internal and external manufacturing problems
Works independently with the China quality team and provides leadership about product quality issues. demonstrate proficiency in root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action implementation
Review customer returns and assist in identifying root cause of a quality problem and have active involvement in the Quality Improvement Process
Support new product development and participate in the continuous improvement process
Train teams on DMAIC methodology
Skills
Experienced in Technical Problem Solving (i.e. 7-step, 8D)
Ability to train and work with employees on all levels
Ability to track scrap, defects and issues with data that shows results
Strong understanding of statistical process control and process analysis
Understanding of LEAN/6 Sigma and how to apply. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing a plus
Mechanical/Electrical experience a plus
QMS and Fulcrum experience a plus
Education & Experience
+2 years of experience directly related to training and/or experience is required for carrying out the responsibilities of this job.
Associate degree in a related field
