This person will work alongside a team to perform the accurate completion ofthe team's assignments and be responsible for the thorough execution of accounting close and financial reporting processes in a deadline focused environment.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the accurate and timely completion ofmonthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close cycles through effective planning, monitoring, and troubleshooting
  • Establish, document and perform internal control procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
  • Perform the most complex accounting activities
  • Work with multiple financial systems and utilize key interfaces and interdependencies extract data for financial reporting needs
  • Make enhancements to financial systems and associated processes and participate in or lead their implementation
  • Work closely with other departments on increasingly complex department projects and continuous improvement activities that may span beyondthe scope of own team's responsibilities
  • Coordinate with Risk Management, Actuarial, Treasury, Finance, and other stakeholders
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, or equivalent
  • 3+ years of relevant public accounting and/or industry experience is required
  • Advanced Excel expertise preferred
  • Experience with large-scale accounting systems
  • Familiarity with NAIC quarterly and annual statement content and preparation
  • Must demonstrate attention to detail in a fast-pacedwork environment and the ability to adapt quickly to changing conditions toachieve results
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
