About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to play a pivotal role in the strategic financial management and planning of the institution. The CFO will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations, budgeting, and fiscal planning to ensure the institution's financial stability and growth. This includes strong collaboration with the company CFO to align operational functions, manage change, and promote coordination. The successful candidate will develop and implement financial strategies, ensure compliance with financial regulations, and optimize the management of endowment and investment funds. Additionally, the CFO will provide regular financial reports, lead capital planning and financing efforts, and manage cash flow and liquidity.Applicants for the CFO position must have a Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field, with an MBA or CPA strongly preferred. A minimum of 10 years in progressive financial leadership, preferably in higher education or a related non-profit sector, is required. The role demands significant experience in financial forecasting and reporting, as well as demonstrated management, leadership, and supervision capabilities within a complex non-profit organization. The CFO must possess excellent analytical and decision-making skills, a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and a deep respect for the institution's mission and values. Integrity, transparency, and ethical conduct are essential, as is the ability to use technology to solve financial problems and a dedication to professional development within the finance team.
