Talascend is seeking a professional, skilled individual for our Senior Pipe Stress Engineer position located in Oak Ridge, TN Job Responsibilities (include but not limited to): Essential duties include performing pipe stress analysis of systems in accordance with ASME B31.3 Code. The stress work includes the modeling of the piping systems to verify piping flexibility, stability and qualification of equipment nozzle loads. Work closely with layout personnel and pipe support engineers to deliver a quality and cost-effective design. Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and vendors as required. Working knowledge of dynamic analysis and ASME B31.3 or B31.1 Codes. Basic Qualifications: BS degree in engineering from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 9 years of related experience. In lieu of a degree, 15 years of relevant experience is required. Must be a US citizen. Must be able to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check which includes verification of employment, education and travel. Must be able to obtain a site security badge for access to work site. Minimum Qualifications: Working knowledge of dynamic analysis and ASME B31.3 or B31.1 Codes. Prior experience using pipe stress analysis program such as ME101, Caesar II, and/or Bentley AutoPIPE. Preferred Qualifications: Experience using AutoPipe for pipe stress analysis EIT certification or PE registration Previous Bechtel project experience Previous DOD/DOE project experience We thank all applicants for their interest.
