This position is PRN (as needed) from 8:00am-4:30pm with possible weekend/remote coverage. POSITION SUMMARY This position's primary responsibilities include inpatient clinical nutrition and long-term care. The RD is responsible for providing Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) using the Nutrition Care Process, including nutritional screening and assessments of infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, pregnant/lactating, and geriatric patients with a variety of medical conditions as a member of the interdisciplinary care team. Responsibilities include: Providing MNT for patients receiving enteral tube feeding and parenteral nutrition. Implementing nutrition care plans to meet patients' nutritional needs. Counseling and educating patients, family members, employees, medical staff, and community members on nutrition and wellness topics. Developing, conducting, and evaluating educational classes and materials. Participating in developing and updating procedures, protocols, and departmental policies. Facilitating compliance with The Joint Commission, state, and other regulatory agencies related to nutrition care. Participating in the development, implementation, and monitoring of quality initiatives. Providing consultative services to long-term care facilities. EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS/LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION Graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree in Dietetics or related field. Completed an accredited intern program. Valid certification in the State of Wisconsin as a Dietitian (CD) or temporary certification if RD eligible for the first 90 days of employment. If the candidate is a Registered Dietitian but does not hold a valid certification in the state of Wisconsin, they must have a pending application for certification with the state of Wisconsin at their employment start date. Registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration as a Registered Dietitian (RD), or RD Eligible with earned RD credential within 90 days of employment. Temporarily certified, certification pending, and/or RD eligible staff will have all work supervised and/or co-signed by a RD-CD. The RD is responsible for completing, documenting, and submitting all required continuing education credits for maintenance of credentialing. FTE: PRN (as needed) Shift: Various days 8:00am-4:30pm with possible weekend/remote coverage. #J-18808-Ljbffr
