Small Craft Design Engineer / Naval Architect

Join our Surface Ship Systems Design team at Atlas Elektronik UK, where we're seeking a talented Small Craft Design Engineer/Naval Architect to contribute to our innovative projects. This role sits within our Complex Systems Team, supporting the delivery of cutting-edge maritime solutions. As a Small Craft Design Engineer/Naval Architect at Atlas Elektronik UK, you'll play a crucial role in designing and engineering small craft systems from concept to delivery. You'll be involved in a variety of tasks including structural and stability analysis, 3D modeling, drafting, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure our solutions meet the highest standards of safety and performance. You'll have the opportunity to work on exciting projects that push the boundaries of maritime technology.

Key Responsibilities:

Conducting structural and stability analyses

Creating detailed 3D models and 2D drawings

Providing technical guidance to team members

Liaising with suppliers and manufacturers

Ensuring work is in compliance with safety and contractual policies

Drafting technical reports and documents

Participating in technical proposals and tenders

Ideal Candidate:

Degree in Naval Architecture or Small Craft Design

Proficiency in Small Craft Design Standards and Classification Society Rules

Experience in stability analysis (Maxsurf) and 3D modeling (Rhino, Solid Edge)

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently and under pressure

Willingness to travel as needed
