Our client has an immediate need for a Distribution 2nd shift Operations Manager in Suwanee GA. This role provides strategic and tactical leadership of distribution warehouse operations to ensure focus on goals and objectives while achieving performance expectations. Successful candidates will possess industry knowledge that provides the ability to identify the driving factors behind the data, develop and execute an effective strategy to ensure continuous improvement, and communicate all in summary or granular detail, as necessary for stakeholders.

Primary Responsibilities

* Oversees the success, accuracy, and effectiveness of implemented plans, policies, and operating procedures. Ensures accurate preparation and distribution of all necessary status reports and records regarding warehouse operations to enable effective decision-making.

* Create and maintain site organization and workflow processes to ensure pick-optimization, inventory accuracy, and order-fulfillment accuracy.

* Proactively manages performance and team dynamics to ensure a fair, professional, and high-performance environment, aligned with company values is maintained. Develops individual and organizational capabilities to build bench strength while delivering results now and in the future.

* Shape the culture to be a competitive advantage in attracting and retaining talent.

* Demonstrates leadership, initiative, and critical thinking to analyze challenges, develop solutions and institutionalize SOP compliance and practices to deliver the highest quality results.

* Demonstrates leadership, business acumen, and strong execution to ensure effective management of client relationships, while delivering cost-effective performance and continuous improvement.

* Must be able to effectively and respectfully communicate with internal and external business partners.

Education/Experience

* Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, Operations, Engineering, or related field is required. Master's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, Operations, Engineering or related field is desired.

* 7+ years experience in leading and managing a large, complex distribution or operations site.

* Demonstrated expertise and results in building a high-performance and engaged culture.

* Demonstrated expertise and results in talent development and building bench strength.

* Strategic vision and planning skills to lead their team to develop strategic plans that drive continuous improvement and build site capability.

* Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from executives, associates, managers, customers, vendors, etc.

* Strong knowledge of Manhattan and how to leverage systems to drive the business with data and processes.
