Salary: $26-$46 per hour depending on experience Job Summary: Tests and inspects products at various stages of the production process and compiles and evaluates statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products. Summary of Duties and Responsibilities: Works in accordance with company established quality systems. Conducts complete first piece inspection to assure process is correct before production run begins. Communicates findings in a respectful and professional manner. Interprets engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or formulas and confers with management or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards. Selects products for tests at specified stages in the production process and tests products for a variety of qualities, such as dimensions, performance, and mechanical or electrical characteristics. Evaluates data and writes reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards. May set up and perform destructive and nondestructive tests on materials, parts, or products to measure performance, life, or material characteristics. May prepare graphs or charts of data or enter data into a computer for analysis. Ensures that the product or service our organization provides is fit for its purpose and meets customer expectations. Running/programming the CMM, Faro arm tracker, and Romer Arm for all inspections required. Mentoring employees on functionality and running of CMMs. Other activities as may be directed. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Team Player. Ability to use and read micrometers, calipers, vision systems, CMMs, and other measuring equipment. Strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate to all levels of the company. Proficient in data collection, analysis, and presentation. Excellent computer skills and proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Access, and the Internet. Knowledge of CMM Manager and Spatial Analyzer (SA) software or equivalent. Ability to program and operate CMMs. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, or engineering drawings. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds required. Credentials and Experience: Two-year degree in Engineering or QA discipline preferred or equivalent experience is acceptable. 3 years prior experience in quality assurance desired; a background in manufacturing/R&D is a plus. Will work on government contracts. Must be a US citizen.
