We offer our team members competitive pay and benefits, rewarding work, growth opportunities, and a constructive and collaborative work environment.Position Overview:Summit Line Construction is seeking an experienced Estimator to join our growing team in Heber City, Utah.What You'll Do:Pre-qualification with specified clients.Analyze and interpret detailed drawings and specifications.Perform budget pricing from schematic drawings and narrative.Support the department leader with the functioning of the Estimating Department, ongoing development and maintenance of computerized estimating programs and databases.Work under deadline pressures in an efficient, composed and calm manner.Work alongside other estimators, project managers and project engineers on change orders and cost to complete estimates of ongoing projects.Determine appropriate construction methods for bidding purposes.Additional duties as assigned by management.Analyze and interpret request for proposal s (RFP), project specifications, and pricing schedulesAttend pre-bid meetings, collaborations and conferences with clients and design professionalsDefine division of responsibilities , d raft scope letters, proposals and vendor solicitationsPrepare pre-approval project estimates based on drawings and narrative and general scopes of work, often lacking specific precedencePerform material , labor, and equipment take-offs and cost analyses to support estimatesDevelop weighting criteria for proposal evaluationsReview estimate with operations team and executive teamProvide expert judgment of costs to support competitive bid and negotiated contractsPrepare and submit proposal documents to clientAssume additional responsibilities as directed by division or project managementWork with client on questions and clarifications post bid submissionAssist project team with questions regarding construction and contractual requirementsWhat You'll Bring:Experience in estimating and/or managing large scale electrical projectsDegree in associated field preferredStrong analytical and mathematic skillsKnowledge of design, estimating, construction, finance, and managementAbility to read and understand blueprints, drawings, scaling, legends, etc.Ability to work independently and meet deadlinesAbility to anticipate and meet internal customer needsAbility to maintain confidentialityThorough understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, standards and activities.Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)Effective communication (oral, written, presentation, listening)Ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasksAbility to travel as neededMust have a valid driver's license and an acceptable motor vehicle driving record (MVR)What You'll Get:Benefits:We offer an extremely competitive and comprehensive benefits package including:PTO that starts accruing DAY 1401K Immediate Vesting; employer match starting same daySeveral medical plans to choose fromDental Plan and Vision PlanLife insurance, short term & long-term disabilityPaid HolidaysPet InsuranceEmployee discounts, EAP and Wellness ProgramIdentity Theft Protection and so much moreEqual Opportunity Employer:All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment and will not be discriminated against on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin or ancestry, sex (including gender, pregnancy, sexual orientation, and/or gender identity), age, disability, genetic information, veteran status, and/or any other basis protected by applicable federal, state or local law.We are an Equal Opportunity Employer, including disability and protected veteran status.#J-18808-Ljbffr
