Experience: Mid Level Operate the Company trucks/equipment in a safe, professional manner, in accordance with State, Federal, and Company safety regulations. Comply with safety regulations as defined in 49 CFR, including, but not limited to, Parts:

- **392 (Driving of Motor Vehicles. Controlled and Intoxicating Substances, Equipment Inspection and Use of Emergency Equipment)**

- **399 (Employee Safety Standards)**

* Driver must make all deliveries in a timely fashion, adhering to and communicating with dispatch instructions and customer requests while properly completing all company bills, delivery receipts, driver logs and vehicle inspection reports.

* Driver is required to maintain possession of and don Safety Glasses, Hard Hat, Safety Vest and Steel-Toe footwear outside vehicle at pickup and delivery locations, and adhere to location PPE requirements.

* Driver is to report to Safety Department all potential safety related issues, including potential hazards associated with customer or independent locations and conditions that may be construed as a potential occupational hazard.

* Driver is not to engage in unsafe conduct, activities or actions that comprise his/her or anothers safety.

* Driver is to provide services and fulfill responsibilities strictly adhering to safe operations, ensuring that appropriate training, PPE, materials, procedures and safety equipment are available and utilized when necessary.

* Driver is to follow the proper procedures for securing and tarping cargo; use of straps, chocks, etc.

* Driver may not remain in cab during loading operations. Driver is not to be on trailer during any loading or unloading operations.

* Driver must remain clear of and visible to all machinery and/or equipment operations in close proximity, and never place oneself in front of receiving or opposite side of loading operations.

* Driver is responsible for the accounting, inspection and protection of products being transported until turned over to the consignee and properly receipted.

* Driver is responsible for determining if the load being transported is within legal limits (both dimensional and weight).

* Driver is responsible to perform minor preventative maintenance required between scheduled services, such as checking/adding motor oil and other vital fluids, checking tire pressures, checking and adjusting brakes, and replacing small items such as windshield wiper blades, and light bulbs.

* Driver must monitor equipment service schedules closely and coordinate repairs and service with the Equipment Manager and Shop Manager. Driver is to keep truck clean inside and out, washing at the shop if necessary.

* Driver must secure and ensure continuous securement of load by use of tarps, straps, chocks, etc. Driving requires occasional physical work including lifting light weight (10-25 #), infrequent lifting of medium weight (25-50#) and rare lifting of heavy weight (50-100#) as necessary, and to handle tarp when covering loads.) Driver must remain aware of voids, gaps, and foot placement at all times.

* Driver must coordinate all oversize movements with Permit Department and Dispatch.

* Driver is responsible to ensure equipment is clean and washed weekly.

* Driver must be detail oriented.

* Driver must be customer and co-worker friendly.

**Education Required:** FMCSA and DOT licensed and qualified to operate under CFR parts 391
