Summary

The Maintenance/Janitor is responsible for daily, weekly and monthly tasks associated with the cleaning and repair of the overall property and individual resident units. The maintenance staff is expected to maintain BRIDGE Property Management Companys high standards in order to present the property in outstanding condition and provide residents with a safe, secure and well-maintained living environment. This position requires on-call availability that requires your occasional presence on-site beyond the standard working hours.

Responsibilities

Cleaning and maintenance of:

o individual apartment units, including turnarounds with respect to garbage disposals, toilets, locks, painting, re-caulking, carpet cleaning

o exterior of the property including gates, entrances, garage doors, trash pick-up and removal, etc.

o interior courtyards and walk ways, including light fixtures, hallways, inside windows, vents, etc.

o trash and garbage enclosures

o laundry rooms and washer/dryer equipment

o front lobby, community rooms and leasing office

Work with outside vendors and contractors to fulfill work orders

Qualifications

Minimum six months of prior experience in facilities maintenance and janitorial work, preferably in an apartment or residential setting

Ability to work with people in a positive and cooperative manner

Knowledge of and demonstrated skills in handling cleaning and maintenance equipment
