Description

We are seeking an In Field Project Manager to join our team. The Field Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of project execution directly at project sites. You will utilize your leadership skills, technical expertise, and on-site experience to ensure that projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

Candidates should be willing and able to work at one or all the following locations. New Orleans, LA, New Ibera, LA and Leeville, LA

Responsibilities:

On-Site Leadership: Provide on-site leadership and direction to project teams, subcontractors, and vendors, ensuring adherence to project plans, schedules, and quality requirements. Lead by example, fostering a culture of safety, teamwork, and accountability among all personnel.

Project Planning and Coordination: Collaborate with the project management team to develop and refine project plans, schedules, and budgets. Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of materials, equipment, and resources to support project activities.

Resource Management: Manage on-site resources, including labor, equipment, and materials, to optimize productivity and efficiency. Monitor resource utilization, identify bottlenecks or constraints, and implement solutions to maintain project momentum and meet project objectives.

Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, policies, and procedures on the project site. Conduct regular safety inspections, hazard assessments, and toolbox talks to promote a safe work environment and prevent accidents or incidents.

Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures to ensure that work performed meets project specifications, industry standards, and client requirements. Conduct inspections and quality checks at various stages of the project to identify and address any quality issues or deficiencies.

Client Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders on the project site, addressing any concerns, inquiries, or requests in a timely and professional manner. Maintain open communication channels and provide regular project updates to keep clients informed and engaged throughout the project lifecycle.

Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and uncertainties, proactively addressing potential issues before they escalate. Develop risk management plans and contingency measures to minimize project disruptions and ensure project success.

Progress Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor project progress against established milestones, schedules, and budgets, providing regular updates to the project management team and stakeholders. Prepare and distribute project status reports, highlighting key achievements, milestones, and areas for improvement.

Problem-solving and Conflict Resolution: Identify and resolve issues or conflicts that arise during project execution, leveraging your problem-solving skills and interpersonal abilities to find effective solutions. Collaborate with stakeholders to address challenges and keep the project on track.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. Work experience in place of formal education will be considered.
  • Combination of 5 to 15 years of experience in project management and in-field project execution.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing projects in a construction, engineering, or related industry.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively lead teams and communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Willingness to assimilate to the culture of a new organization by embracing client values, collaborating with colleagues, and quickly understanding their processes, contributing effectively to achieve our goals.
  • Experience with project management software, such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar tools.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations, quality standards, and best practices in construction and project management.
