Job Description
We are partnering with our client, reSAWN TIMBER co. on an HR Generalist opportunity:

The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for helping reSAWN TIMBER co. create a rewarding and engaging culture by efficiently and effectively running the day-to-day operations of the HR department. The HR Generalist will be responsible for talent acquisition, employee development and training, benefits & Leave administration, payroll processing, event planning and positive employee relations. The HR Generalist will be responsible for recruiting entry level manufacturing positions up thru supervisor level positions with efforts to attract and hire a diverse pool of exceptional talent that complement the highly collaborative culture at reSAWN. This position is a dynamic role that will assist in the refining and enforcing HR programs and policies that positively impact people in multiple phases of their employment journey. This position works with all levels of management in a collaborative environment to recommend solutions and address business needs. This role will report to the VP of Finance & HR. Position hours are M-F 8:30 to 5pm, this is an onsite role.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelors degree in human resources preferred
  • 1+ years of Human Resources experience with focus on Manufacturing & Recruiting
  • SHRM-CP a plus
  • Must be an effective communicator - both verbally and in writing - at all levels and enjoy working in a team environment
  • Highly organized, detail-orientated, a strong work ethic, and demonstrated teamwork skills
  • Effective time management skills needed to manage responsibilities across several tasks
  • Ability to make decisions, solve problems, offer strong recommendations and take responsibility for results
  • Ability to protect and maintain sensitive and confidential information
  • Considerable knowledge of HR practices and benefits administration
  • Proficiency with or ability to quickly learn systems - experience with MacBook, Google Sheets/ Docs, BambooHR, EasyClocking and Bonusly a plus
  • A desire to create an enjoyable and rewarding culture and experience aligned with reSAWN TIMBER co. values for all associates (in person and remote) from onboarding to retiring/exiting

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Full-cycle recruiting for entry level positions thru supervisor level positions for manufacturing, sales and office staff in collaboration with hiring managers
  • Conduct background checks, physicals and reference checks during the hiring process
  • Implement new hire orientation
  • Facilitate employee recognition program
  • Track and document trainings, reviews and raises
  • Ensure administrative transactions such as processing bi-weekly payroll, benefits and leave, disciplinary documentation, maintaining and updating employee records (contact information, job titles, pay, etc.), hiring/exiting system input are completed timely and accurately
  • Formulate and conduct in house training - this may include safety, HR compliance, Workman's Comp, and Supervisor/Manager training
  • Track, monitor, and report all claims to the Workers Compensation Insurance company
  • Attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations and investigations
  • Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal guidelines and ensure aligned with reSAWN practices and policies
  • Ensures efficient, effective, and consistent delivery of HR programs throughout the company and interfaces with all levels of management and employees to maintain positive employee relations environment
  • Collaborates with management to address employee relations issues; examines situations,analyzes trends from exit surveys and other feedback mechanisms and recommends solutions to management; coordinates with reSAWN's legal council as necessary
  • Coordinates the administration of employee benefits and updates for employees on health, dental, and 401K plans.
  • Oversees Annual Open Enrollment planning and execution (planning, communication, running meetings, answering questions, etc.)
  • Assists with 401k annual 5500 filings, annual NDT testing, assist with annual audit, answer all questions from employees on 401k
  • Planning and execution of annual employee events (typically 4 per year)
