Overview: CMM programmer and Operator are required to create CMM programs, operate CMM and perform Quality inspections as needed basis while keeping a safe and clean work environment. This role will also support receiving inspections, in process and final inspection.
Job Functions/Responsibilities:
- Create CMM program to measure parts to support in process and final inspection as needed.
- Possess working knowledge and ability to use precision measuring instruments, gages, and hand tools.
- Ensures manufactured products meet requirements using tools such as software, CMM, blue light and other automated tools.
- Perform receiving, in-process, final inspection and follow basic guidelines.
- Verify first piece production.
- Perform receiving inspection per established work instruction and work with Operations and Procurement if any discrepancies are found.
- During inspections verify the documentation accuracy and traceability to the number of parts, part number, purchase orders and drawing.
- Complete FAIR (first article inspection report using AS9102 form or Net-inspect)
- Should be able to read and interpret customer specifications, engineering drawings and requirements.
- Work closely with the team at Headquarters.
- Oversee continuous elimination of waste and implement cycle time reduction.
- Maintain required attendance and punctuality as scheduled to meet production goals.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations while wearing the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Responsible for maintaining applicable regulatory and professional standards.
- Generate non-conformance reports to identify problem areas by discrepancy type/machine/operator.
- Assure that all area inspection standards/gauges are calibrated and kept up to date.
- Demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement daily by your actions.
- Participate with production teams to resolve production and shipping issues.
- Assist in transferring and management of parts, through finished goods.
- Perform other functions and responsibilities as assigned.

- Oversee the flow of product through his/her area of responsibility.
- Advance the development of production work instructions
- Works with leadership team to develop manufacturing operating plans in accordance with company policies, goals, and objectives.
- Delivers operational excellence through optimizing capacities, total cost effectiveness and value to the customer base. Ensures operation plans achieve targeted cost and efficiency results that maximize value for the business unit.
- Develops and executes lean and flexible production systems manufacturing operations to lower plant breakeven point.
- Executes plans for quality and process excellence that ensures consistent quality assurance and process excellence procedures, controls, and feedback.
- Ability to work overtime and weekends when needed.
- Qualifications and Education Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 3 years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
- 3+ years programming Zeiss CMM.
- 3+ years' operating Zeiss CMM.
- 3+ years in a quality role.
- Competence of Microsoft Suite products.
- Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Previous work with the fabrication, assembly or manufacturing of metal products.
Previous experience with Farro Arm and/or Blue Light Inspection tools.
