Description

Western Wisconsin Health is looking for a part-time Surgery Coordinator (0.4 FTE) to join the Surgical Services department. The primary focus of the position is to collaborate with patients, providers, surgery office nurse, and the surgery manager to schedule surgeries and procedures. The Surgery Coordinator will also prepare patient records in the electronic medical record and assist in other areas of the surgery department as needed. All of this is done to support the organization's mission while living our values.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Prior experience with medical scheduling
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience with surgery/procedure scheduling
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Maintain the integrity of highly confidential business and patient information
  • Display and promote high standards of ethical conduct and behaviors consistent with organizational standards
  • Exhibit excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) electronic medical records, telephone systems, and fax machines
  • Ability to anticipate, understand, and manage patient expectations and provide consistent delivery of services
  • Clearly and effectively convey information to patients
  • Ability to manage and multitask communicating with patients/staff/outside clinics/projects concurrently
  • Ability to prioritize and handle conflicting priorities
  • Ability to consistently carry out job responsibilities, able to acknowledge when commitments are not met, and take appropriate steps to fulfill responsibility
  • Ability to clearly and effectively convey information to individuals or groups, including ability to choose the appropriate method or methods of communication
Work Schedule:
  • .4 FTE - 32 hours per bi-weekly pay period
