Who we are looking for:
We are looking for an innovative Senior Controls Engineer to join our team and lead the optimization of our manufacturing processes. You will have a strong background in industrial control systems and a proven ability to design, implement, and maintain complex control solutions. You will be responsible for developing and implementing control strategies that improve efficiency, productivity, and product quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement advanced control systems for manufacturing processes, including PLC programming, HMI development, and SCADA system integration.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to identify process improvement opportunities and develop control strategies to address them.
- Analyze process data to optimize control parameters and improve system performance.
- Troubleshoot control system issues and implement corrective actions in a timely manner.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest control system technologies and industry best practices.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in industrial control system design, specializing in chemical processing or metallurgy.
- Proficiency in experience in PLC programming (Allen-Bradley) and SCADA (Ignition) systems.
- Strong understanding of control theory principles, including adaptive and model predictive control strategies.
- Familiarity with process instrumentation and industrial communication protocols relevant to metal manufacturing and production
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a proven track record of delivering innovative solutions to complex technical challenges.
- Ability to thrive both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
