Main duties and responsibilities

In this position, you will be responsible for the successful design and construction of all facilities and the installation of equipment and systems. As the Project Manager, you will also oversee the various project phases, ensuring on-time completion within pre-established cost constraints and construction standards. You will work closely with architects, contractor managers, engineers, OEM personnel, and Kronospan associates to ensure effective communication and teamwork.

Requirements

Ability to establish procedures for project management including timelines for engineering, purchasing, drawings, delivery, and construction schedules Ability to work with Kronospan management to establish implementation requirements and project goals of cost, quality, and schedule Ability to work closely with the facility engineering and maintenance department on all installation issues Practical knowledge to perform daily progress reviews of all facets of projects including construction, installation, and testing Ability to conduct weekly project site meetings with contractors, engineers and appropriate Kronospan associates Ability to prepare Request for Quote packages and review submissions for accuracy including scope, terms, and conditions Ability to conduct daily inspections of all aspects of projects including material specs, workmanship, and safety Ability to ensure contract documents and change orders are executed to cost and scope specifications Obtain necessary certificates and licenses as phases of project are completed Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as excellent listening skills Knowledge to ensure all work is completed according to local and national codes Complex problem solving skills Knowledge of practical application of engineering science and technology principles, techniques, and procedures Knowledge of facilities planning and building construction Experience using all Microsoft office software and AutoCAD Excellent time management skills Must have the qualities of stress tolerance, persistence, self control, integrity and flexibility

What Will Put You Ahead

BS degree in mechanical, electrical, civil, or manufacturing engineering. Experience in the construction of a wood panel manufacturing facility Professional Engineer certification
