Title Clerk

Description of the role:

The Automotive Title Clerk at Crossroads Auto Group will be responsible for managing the title and registration process for all vehicles sold by the dealership. This includes accurately completing and submitting title applications, organizing and maintaining title paperwork, and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations related to vehicle titling. The role requires great attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and knowledge of automotive titling regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately complete and submit title applications for all sold vehicles
• Organize and maintain title paperwork for easy retrieval
• Communicate with customers and lienholders to obtain necessary title documentation
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations related to vehicle titling
• Perform title checks to verify ownership and resolve any title issues
• Coordinate with the finance and sales departments to ensure timely completion of title paperwork
• Collaborate with external agencies as needed to resolve title-related matters

Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Prior experience as an automotive title clerk required
• Strong knowledge of state and federal regulations related to vehicle titling
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proficient computer skills, including data entry and document management
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers, lienholders, and internal teams
