Summary:

Under general direction of the System Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, the President of MetroHealth Ventures will be the face of the organization, responsible for all leadership, governance, strategic, and business activities of the corporation.

The responsibilities include carrying out the mission, overall management, and operation of all aspects of the organization.

This position will focus on long-range goals, business strategies, developing joint ventures, managing intellectual properties, commercializing innovations, technology transfer capabilities, cultivating business opportunities that reduces health disparities, establishing corporate incubators that helps marginalized startups grow and succeed.

MetroHealth Ventures’ President will have accountability for the overall performance and fiscal integrity of the organization.

Responsibilities will also include working with a broad array of cutting-edge, public agencies and private companies to continually improve and enhance community inclusion, support policy advancement, and drive our mission.

Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.

Qualifications:

Required: Bachelor’s Degree in a related field. Minimum of 7 years in a senior leadership role within a nonprofit health care, commercialization of ideas, or capital fundraising organization. Expertise in Nonprofit Management, Public Health, Venture Capital, Technology Transfer, or a related field. Extensive knowledge and expertise in public and private partnerships, healthcare systems, economic development, and health policy issues inclusive of attracting government financing and financial oversight. Experience with grant development and contract negotiations. Exceptional relationship management skills with the ability to build and grow connections with people of all types and backgrounds. Success working with a Board of Directors, policy makers, and funders with the ability to cultivate new and existing relationships. Experienced transformational leader who is committed to affecting change to support the MetroHealth System Vision and Mission. Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds.

Preferred: Master’s Degree in a related field.

Physical Demands: May need to move around intermittently during the day, including sitting, standing, stooping, bending, and ambulating. May need to remain still for extended periods, including sitting and standing. Ability to communicate in face-to-face, phone, email, and other communications. Ability to read job related documents. Ability to use computer.
