We are looking for a

Director of Technical Accounting

to work for our client. The ideal candidate aligns with the responsibilities and qualifications outlined below.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement technical accounting policies and procedures in accordance with US GAAP and SEC requirements

Research and analyze complex accounting issues and provide recommendations to senior management and cross-functional teams

Lead the implementation of new accounting standards and policies, including revenue recognition, lease accounting, and others as applicable

Collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance with accounting standards and audit requirements

Monitor regulatory developments and proactively identify and assess the impact of new accounting standards and regulations on the company's financial statements

Provide technical accounting guidance to business partners and cross-functional teams

Manage the preparation and review of technical accounting memos and disclosures for SEC filings

Develop and maintain relationships with external accounting firms, including technical accounting advisors

Train and develop team members on technical accounting matters

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or Finance

8+ years of experience in technical accounting, preferably with a Big Four accounting firm or in a public company setting

Strong knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements

Experience with complex accounting issues, including revenue recognition, lease accounting, and business combinations

Experience with SEC filings, including 10-K and 10-Q filings

Familiarity with international accounting standards (IFRS)

Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
