Overview:

Divisional Controller
Perform various accounting functions and supervise accounting staff.

Responsibilities:

Supervisory Responsibilities include:

  • Assist the Accounting Managers, Accounts Payable Manager, Accountants, and Restaurant staff with resolving accounting issues.
  • Resolve personnel issues.
  • Perform annual reviews.
  • Interview accountant candidates.

Accounting Responsibilities:

  • Review Income Statements. Respond to Analysts/Operations questions.
  • Review and analyze various Balance Sheet Accounts for accuracy and compliance.
  • Provide operational teams with financial guidance and accounting support.
  • Act as liaison between accounting department and other departments within the company.
  • Act as a liaison with external auditors for stand-alone audits as needed.
  • Analyze and evaluate invoices for proper capitalization and financial reporting purposes.
  • Input various journal entries.
  • Ensure 1099s, 1096s, and 8027's are prepared properly and timely as required by the assignment.
  • Collaborate with audit teams to assist in gathering and preparing necessary information for audits across different departments.
  • Participate in operational conference calls to stay informed and provide financial insights.
  • Verify and authorize financial transactions by signing checks in accordance with company policies.
  • Projects as necessary.
  • Accounting for international units dependent on concept.
Qualifications:
  • Demonstrate advanced technical accounting skills with a focus on financial reporting and analysis.
  • Demonstrate exceptional leadership, supervisory, and training abilities to guide and develop accounting teams effectively.
  • Possess excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic decision-making skills to address complex financial challenges.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in utilizing financial software and advanced Excel functions for data analysis and reporting.
  • Be a proactive self-starter with a hands-on approach, capable of managing multiple priorities efficiently in a dynamic work environment.
  • Bachelors degree in accounting.
  • CPA preferred but not required.
  • Excellent communication skills
