Actalent is hiring for a Machine Design Engineer

Description:

Design industrial machines and models using Solidworks

Perform structural load and stress calculations for new and existing designs

Size and specify mechanical power train components like gearboxes, motors, bearings, and fans for new and improved applications.

Manage projects for machine design, development or engineering related processes

Provide troubleshooting expertise

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Must have-

Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology.

5+ years of machine design

Experience utilizing SolidWorks

Familiar with manufacturing disciplines of welding, machining, electrical wiring, assembly, and painting

Nice to haves-

Project Management

Motion control and automation experience

Sizing of motors and gears

Oven design experience
