**This job is based in Roseville, CA and requires daily travel to and around the Roseville area** As an Employment Counselor, you will work with adults with developmental disabilities to build the skills necessary to gain and maintain competitive integrated employment. Using our training, curriculum, and your own ingenuity and talent, you will help participants develop:Job readiness skillsOn the job hard and soft skillsCoping strategiesNew behaviorsSocial skillsCommunity resourcesAnd more Benefits:Salary starting at $20.00 per hourBi-weekly mileage reimbursement ($0.67 cents per mile)Car repair reimbursement fundWifi + Cellphone StipendMonthly Bonus the cover expenses like Medical InsuranceGenerous PTO401k401k matchingFree monthly car washWork computer + tablet to use out in the community7 &fac12; hour work dayMonday-Friday, 8:30am-4pmMajor holidays offDuties & Responsibilities:Meet daily with 2 participantsPlan and lead activities that support in the development of new skills and new behaviors related to your participants goalsSupport participants through job readiness and soft skills curriculumSupport participants to develop coping skills that help them in their daily livesProvide transportation for participants to and from program activitiesPlan weekly schedules with participants focused around their goalsAttend daily virtual staff meetings and bi-weekly 1:1's with your managerLead in person and virtual activities to support social connections between participantsOnce participants secure a job, provide support at their worksites to ensure success in their job dutiesOther duties as neededAbout Us: Blue Heron Programs is an employment preparation program for adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities.
