TITLE: SENIOR MANAGER OF EQUITY ASSESSMENT AND ACCOUNTABILITY QUALIFICATIONS:
Hold a New Jersey instructional certificate, subject matter endorsement, and other appropriate endorsement(s) (N.J.A.C. 6:11-6.1, 6.2, or 8.1et seq.) in accordance with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 18A:27.1 et seq., and N.J.A.C. Title 6 Chapter 11.
Hold a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
Strong leadership, interpersonal skills, and organizational skills.
Exceptional verbal and written communication, public speaking, and articulation skills
Have excellent integrity and demonstrate good moral character and initiative.  
Knowledge of educational technology.
Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality in a multicultural, diverse community. 
Interpret and analyze data
Hold a valid driver’s license with no serious violations.
Exhibit a personality that demonstrates enthusiasm and interpersonal skills to relate well with students, staff, administration, parents and the community.
Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing, using proper grammar and vocabulary.
Current residency in New Jersey, approved residency waiver, or candidate agrees to obtain residency within one year of employment
Provide proof of U. S. citizenship or legal resident alien status by completing Federal Form I-9 in compliance with the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986.
Provide evidence that a criminal record history check has been conducted and clearance has been given by the Department of Education. During the initial six-month period, provide a sworn statement that there have not been any convictions of a crime or a disorderly person’s offense in accordance with 18A:6-7.1.
Provide evidence that health is adequate to fulfill the job functions and responsibilities with reasonable accommodation pursuant to 42 U.S.C. 12101 and in accordance with N.J.A.C. 6:3-4A.4.

JOB GOAL:
The Senior Manager of Equity Assessment and Accountability addresses equity and diversity goals throughout the district.  The position is responsible for implementing and monitoring the division’s strategic plan while focusing on the impact of programs and processes that promote and sustain diversity, equity, and respect. The Senior Manager of Equity Assessment and Accountability will perform administrative duties and provide leadership. Will be responsible for the research, development, implementation, and evaluation of the District’s assessment and student achievement programs. They will evaluate the district’s multi-tiered system of support (MTSS) using strategic data for equity and access for all students. The Senior Manager of Equity Assessment and Accountability will use the District’s student data systems to measure student performance over time, providing the school board, staff, and parents with data analysis and interpretation. The Senior Manager works collaboratively with all stakeholders and communicates effectively with stakeholders regarding the successful use of data. Performing specialized technical work involving data analysis, survey development, report writing, and budget analysis. Prepare presentations and provide leadership and assistance to schools with using data to support the improvement of the instructional program. Plan, develop, and implement the District’s Equity Plan. 
 
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBLITIES:
Collaborate and serve as a proactive, creative resource throughout the District for diversity-related initiatives, activities, materials, advice, and counsel;
Provide training to District and site staff on issues of equity that affect climate, culture, and educational engagement;
Provide guidance and support for the implementation of Culturally Responsive Practices;
Collaborate with staff to collect and analyze data that provide information useful to support and enhance equity, diversity, inclusion initiatives, and student achievement;
Implement and articulate the District’s mission, goals, and objectives using an adequate representation of current data and collaborative processes and professional development;
Provides leadership in establishing community partnerships with programs and developing improved understanding of existing community engagement programs;
Establishes procedure in organizational management with the ability to build relationships and develop highperforming teams and set and achieve strategic objectives.
Develops budget recommendations and provides expenditure control on established budgets for community engagement programs as assigned.
Oversee the District’s assessment program, which implements the monitoring system for student achievement, perception data, program data, and demographic data;
Measure student performance over time to inform educational decision-making;
Organize, direct, and supervise all aspects of the District, state, and national assessment programs;
Responsible for program review and evaluation to ensure that program effectiveness and alignments with the District’s vision and achievement goals;
Direct and coordinate teachers and administrators in developing assessment instruments, and systems of monitoring the implementation of District and site staff development;
Analyze, interpret, and report results from research, program evaluations, curriculum development efforts, and the District, state, and national assistant programs;
Coordinate and supervise the preparation, design, implementation and reporting of District data and programs;
Direct and coordinate teachers and administrators in developing school wide instructional goals, objective and assessment instruments, and systems of monitoring the implementation of District and site programs;
Develop and administer the budget for assessment;
Manage and oversee all state and federal compliance monitoring programs
Provide training on leadership development;
Curriculum planning and development for equity and inclusion;
Develop essential components of school innovation program;
Responsible for developing and enhancing research and coaching strategies;
Follow state and federal requirements for categorical program monitoring to enhance programs; 24. Statistics and Data analysis;
Exercise leadership role to improve focused collaboration and cooperative planning, for professional learning communitieAbility to take initiative and evaluate instructional program effectiveness
Plan, organize, and coordinate a variety of projects simultaneously;
Advance a school, improving student achievement;
Facilitate training and coaching for teacher/administration leadership;
Work cooperatively with other staff members, community, and parents.
Oversees the procedure that supports community relationship building, leadership training, social events, and community improvement projects. 
Maintains close contact with district partnerships and community engagement programs.
Insures that all community engagement liaisons between the school district and the community-at-large are meeting the responsibility of the Pleasantville School District.
Protect confidentiality of records and information gained as part of exercising professional duties and use discretion in sharing such information within legal confines.
Observe strictly, to avoid the appearance of conflict, all requirements of the School Ethics Act (N.J.S.A.18A:12-21 et. seq.) regarding conflicts of interest in employment, purchasing, and other decisions, including solicitation and acceptance of gifts and favors, and submit in a timely fashion the required annual disclosure statement regarding employment and financial interests.
Perform any duties that are within the scope of employment and certifications, as assigned by the Superintendent and not otherwise prohibited by law or regulation.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 12-month employee, work year as set by the Board of Education
SALARY RANGE: $70,000.00 to $115,000.00 
 
FLSA STATUS: Exempt
 
ANNUAL EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with NJ State law and the provisions of the board’s policy on evaluations
