Responsibilities

MV Transportation is seeking a part-time Farebox Specialist who will have both independent work and team driven assignments. Candidate must have a positive and professional attitude working with internal staff, our client, and passengers. Must be willing to work in a fast-paced environment with frequently changing priorities.

Job Responsibilities:

• Work at multiple locations (IBMF and SMF facilities)
• Manage farebox collection; handling and counting cash/tickets from our riding public.
• Must be willing to work in a (secure) cash vault environment, under video surveillance.
• Ability to file paperwork accurately.
• Ability to maintain paperwork logs and prepare reports.
• Other duties as needed.

Qualifications

Talent Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize daily work assignments.
• Ability to work flexible schedule.
• Basic math skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to perform work accurately and error free.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office package including Word and Excel.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced multi-tasking environment.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Ability to communicate effectively on all levels.
• Ability to operate a 10-key calculator.
• Must be able to push and pull carts and carry up to 15 lbs. of boxes or bags filled with currency.
• Minimum 6 months cash handling/counting experience preferred.
• Must be able to work independently at multiple locations.
• Must be able to pass random drug testing.
