Role Description

This is a full-time position for an Economic Development Director at the City of Forney. The Economic Development Director will be responsible for leading and managing economic development initiatives, including attracting new businesses and investments, fostering community partnerships, and promoting city growth. The director will collaborate with various stakeholders, develop strategic plans, and implement economic development projects to drive economic prosperity.

Qualifications

• Economic Development, Public Administration, and Urban Planning skills
• Experience in community development and budgeting
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong leadership and strategic thinking abilities
• Ability to collaborate with stakeholders and build partnerships
• Knowledge of economic development principles and best practices
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (such as Economics, Business Administration, or Urban Planning)
• Master's degree in a relevant field is a plus
