EXP Is growing To help fuel that growth, we are adding a Signal Processing Software Engineer to our dynamic team. The primary objective of this role is to develop, support, and manage software systems which enhance signals intelligence missions of the Intelligence Community, Department of Defense, and other U.S. Government agencies.

In this role you will be the lead interface with the customer and will have the opportunity to make a significant impact toward expanding EXP's footprint with this customer.

As a Signal Processing Software Engineer, you will be involved in applying AI/ML techniques and developing advanced signal processing techniques, both in classified and unclassified settings. This role provides mission support by managing software releases, optimizing software for real time processing, and implementing signal processing and machine learning algorithms. The role will work closely with algorithm developers and customer stakeholders to utilize machine learning, signal processing, and data analysis methods to extract meaningful insights from RF (Radio Frequency) data and apply them to enhance intelligence and security operations.

The role requires a strong background in software development and software engineering.

Experience with RF engineering, machine learning, and signal processing, along with a deep understanding of communication systems is beneficial.

This position will sit at our customer site but will periodically travel to our headquarters in Herndon, VA to collaborate with the team.

Responsibilities include:

Collaborate with a team to research, develop, design, and implement complex signal processing solutions in customer systems

Support and integrate advanced AI / machine learning algorithms and techniques in SIGINT application areas

Analyze complex problems and phenomenology with focus on developing RF machine learning capabilities to process signals more effectively

Transition RF / ML prototypes to field-ready software applications and real-time systems

Required qualifications include:

Must be a US Citizen and have a current TS/ SCI clearance Full Scope Polygraph

BA/BS, MS or PhD degree with relevant experience in electrical engineering/signal processing, physics, applied mathematics, computer science, or related technical discipline

A strong background in software engineering and experience with digital signal processing or communication theory.

Experience with applied RF Machine Learning is preferred.

Proven ability to develop, define, design, and implement signal processing solutions in complex systems

Ability to rapidly prototype algorithm concepts to evaluate performance and to guide research direction

Strong C++ and Python programming skills

Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to stakeholders

Clearance Required:

Top Secret/SCI w/FSP
