POSITION SUMMARY:

Work with venue leadership on risk management process, concerns, and issues. Handle company insurance claims, work with company TPAs, Legal counsel, and Government Agencies for required licensing & certifications, perform administrative support to the VP of Risk Management as needed. Maintain up to date knowledge of State and Federal regulations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Review and log incoming security events and venue incident & injury reports for incidents related to guest hazardous exposures.
  • Create, prepare, maintain event files with completion of all necessary follow up action to include communication (verbal and written) with guests and retention of all pertinent documentation/ information to include video retention.
  • Gather all information required to set up claim file including security incident reports, video footage, attorney documents, subpoenas, settlement documents, etc.
  • Track and follow up on pending items for completing for investigation files.
  • Maintain and update litigation and claims spreadsheet.
  • Communicate with third party claims administrator & legal counsel on general liability claims.
  • Provide litigation file to company defense counsel.
  • Assist in processing subpoenas and wage garnishments.
  • Create and maintain confidential electronic and hard copy files. Maintain department files orderly for immediate access as well as archiving.
  • Prepare check request forms, track invoices, file invoices for Account Payable processing.
  • Assist with maintenance of all insurance certificates & licenses.
  • Assist with reviewing and tracking venue violations from various agencies.
  • Assist in safety committee presentations, agenda & literature in compliance with OSHA regulations, Track meeting responses for venue compliance.
  • Assist in company safety audits, safety inspections & develop safety checklists.
  • Assist VP of Risk Management and Risk Manager with tasks and projects as needed.
  • Obtain OSHA 10 & OSHA 30 certification (NV OSHA courses)
  • Assist and/ or complete additional tasks as assigned

EDUCATION/WORKING KNOWLEDGE:

  • Bachelors Degree with an emphasis in hospitality and/or equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field
  • Proficient in Windows Microsoft Office and Excel
  • Previous administrative experience is preferred
  • Previous experience following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

  • 5-25% Local Travel (United States)
  • Work in an environment that is subject to varying levels of noise, crowds, and smoke, the severity of which depends upon the guest volume
  • May work extended hours irregular shifts, evening and/or weekend shifts, and holiday work may be required
  • Maintain a professional, neat, and well-groomed appearance adhering to Company standards
  • Must be effective as part of a team; ability to interact with internal and external customers, managers, and co-workers in a professional, courteous manner
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
