Job Title: Assistant Controller

Job Summary: Responsibilities:

1. Manage accounting team with direct report to VP of Finance

2. Prepare Use/Sales tax filings

3. Accounts receivable collections

4. Prepare prequalification's for clients and prospective clients

5. Bank reconciliations

6. Weekly payroll transfers

7. Prepare weekly accounting reports

8. Payroll backup

9. Prepare key corporate filings.

10. Prepare subcontract applications for payments

11. OCCIP enrollments

12. Submit/track insurance claims

13. Manage insurance policies

14. Coordinate with broker COI requests from clients

15. Assist with coordination and reporting for audits

16. Prepare month end/ad hoc reporting and analysis

17. Assist with preparation of annual CPA review

18. Submit quarterly tax filings

19. Deposit/record/track real estate checks

20. Point of contact for Real estate tenants

21. Track Real estate properties for weekly payouts

22. Submit bank requisitions for development properties

23. Perform other accounting tasks or special projects as needed

Requirements:

1. Relevant Years of experience required to perform the role: 4-7years

2. Mid-level Excel skills Ability to work overtime when required

3. Basic / Minimum Education requirement to perform the job: Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance or Business

4. Experience in relative industry (engineering, architectural design, construction,)

Preferred Skills:

  1. Experience with QuickBooks, Excel (pivot tables, vlookups)
  2. Real Estate industry
