We are looking for an experienced Senior Control Software Engineer to lead the development of advanced control systems for our autonomous vehicle platform. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the behavior and performance of our self-driving technology. Locations San Jose, California, US (Salary Range: $75k$400k USD) Responsibilities Lead the design and development of complex control algorithms for autonomous vehicle systems. Oversee the integration of control software with other subsystems, including perception, planning, and hardware interfaces. Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to the control software team. Conduct rigorous testing and validation of control systems in both simulated and real-world environments. Ensure compliance with industry safety standards and best practices. Qualifications Masters or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in control software development, preferably in the automotive or robotics industry. Strong understanding of control theory, vehicle dynamics, and system modeling. Proficiency in C++ and Python programming languages. Familiarity with real-time heterogeneous systems. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Preferences Proven track record in leading the development of control systems for autonomous or semi-autonomous vehicles. Deep expertise in nonlinear and robust control strategies. Hands?on experience with hardware?in?the?loop (HIL) or software?in?the?loop (SIL) testing environments. Contributions to published research in control systems, vehicle dynamics, or robotics. Familiarity with AI and machine learning applications in control systems.
