Orion Talent, the nation’s largest military recruiting firm, is currently recruiting transitioning or former military professionals for a Technical Business Development & Sales Manager position with an international leader in the engineering, design, and manufacturing of aluminum transit, rack mount, and equipment cases, as well as heat & cool exchange solutions for different industries such as aeronautics, defense, military, medical, energy, and oil & gas.
Position Details
Location: Rockledge, FL
Compensation: $100K annually + additional $20K in commission potential
Shift: Monday – Friday | 8 00am – 5 00pm
Travel: 60 – 80% travel (including international travel)

Position Description
As the Technical Business Development & Sales Manager, you will handle all aspects of tactical sales including business development, research, and sales. This includes understanding acquisition forecasts of government agencies, identifying new business opportunities, and fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders. Primary responsibilities will include
Win sales orders through cold outbound calls and setting up Teams-Meetings to potential clients for capabilities briefings.
Build and nurture strong relationships with government agencies, defense contractors and industry partners.
Identify and qualify leads using the company’s capture tool, CRM, and through self-initiative research.
Increase the visibility of the company in program offices.
Creating and maintaining a pipeline using the company’s capture tool and CRM.
Work with internal team to develop quotes & proposals and close projects & programs.
Actively attend and prospecting at industry shows and exhibits (as exhibitor with booth or visitor).
Tracking weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance and sales metrics using CRM.
Position Requirements
The ideal candidate has a military background with a bachelor’s degree in Engineering and/or Business.
5+ years of experience selling into the defense markets and a strong network of contacts within the defense sector. This should include an exceptional understanding of the defense market landscape including regulatory framework and key players.
Able to exhibit your networking, prospecting, capturing, and closing skills as well as your strong communication and customer service skills.
