Job DescriptionAs a Patient Assistant at Amery Hospital & Clinic, you will assist patients at the reception/Checkout desk of the clinic by performing check in, check out, scheduling duties and work queue processing. Primary duties include, but are not limited to, coordinating patient appointments, checking in patients by following Care Model Process guidelines and performing related reception/scheduling duties as assigned.Work Schedule: Every other weekend 3:00 - 11:00 p.m.Required Qualifications: High School graduate or equivalent. Minimum two years experience in a hospital or medical clinic setting or equivalent. Experience in a customer service setting. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of medical terminology. Experience with Microsoft products, Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.Preferred Qualifications: Completion of position related 2-year program, such as Medical Administrative Specialist or Medical Office Specialist. Experience in EPIC computer system. Experience working with healthcare insurance.Benefits: Amery Hospital & Clinic offers a competitive benefits package (.5 FTE or greater) that includes medical insurance, dental insurance, 403b with match, disability insurance and tuition reimbursement.
