We are located in Altamont, NY, and are looking to hire a full-time Welder/Vessel Fabricator to join our team on the 1st shift. Give us a call to schedule an interview and welding test.

Job Requirements:

• Knowledge and experience in primarily Spray GMAW (MIG), GTAW (TIG), weld prep and plasma cutting.
• Ability to cut, bend, drill, tap, and similar operations as required to fabricate intricate assemblies.
• Experience operating bridge cranes and forklift trucks.
• Must be ability to read engineering fabrication drawings, layout, and weld structural fabrications.
• Candidate must be able to follow written procedures and work instructions.
• Capable of lifting 30 pounds
• Capable of climbing
• Able to bend and twist body in various positions.
• Able to sit and stand for long periods of time.
• Must be able to use two hands and two feet or equivalent to perform the tig welding process.
• Must be able to hear well enough to communicate with his or her coworker during assembly procedures.
• Must have good vision to control the size of the weld puddle to achieve high quality welds.
• Must successfully complete a pre-employment weld test.

Experience:

• 2 years welding experience.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Welding Certification from a recognized institution preferred.

Job Type: Full-time. first shift 7:00 am - 3:30 pm (M-F). Overtime 5 - 10%

Salary is commensurate with experience Pay range: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
